$40 together or make an offer. Clownfish is about 3 years old and healthy. Urchin is active and a great algae scrubber, has been in the tank about a year also.
Getting out of the hobby and rehoming livestock first but let me know if you need any equipment.
Hey all! I have a purple pin from top shelf that is super active, an amazing algae scrubber and almost 4” across. It’s too large for my young setup and knocks the corals down constantly. (I thought I would be receiving a golf ball but got the breeder!) might be a good addition to an older reef...
My long tentacle anemone got caught in a side opening of my AIO tank. I had to split it in order to remove it from the opening. I have come to terms with possibly needing to restart the tank from scratch. There are tentacles and white matter around the tank. I would do it differently now having...
What that heck is on my urchin?? He has been carrying it around for almost a week and it has not moved. Its fluorescent and only appears yellow under blue light.
Hey guys, I have a newly established saltwater tank and everything is going great so far. I've got 4 fish, a few corals, and a robust CUC in my 45 gallon display tank. I have nori on hand and am considering getting algae wafers as well. Tank has been up for about 2 months so far. I just...
Battling a plague nuisance algae. Appears to be Lyngbya vs. thought initially was GHA. Picked up a couple urchins at the advice of LFS. Here we are: seems the urchin is hungry and uninterested in the mats of nasty brown strands all around. And why would he want to eat that junk when there’s...
Hi guys, does anyone have experience keeping pink lady sea urchins? Mine won’t come off the sand bed. It’s been staying down there ever since I got it back in February. It was supposed to clean my live rock from algae but seems much happier sifting through sand all day and night long. The only...
Hi all,
This is my first post as a new member! I currently have a BioCube 32 that is just over 2 years old (my first saltwater tank). It is stocked with:
-Pair of occelaris clownfish
- Yellow watchman goby and tiger pistol shrimp pair
-Green bubble tip anemone and a very tiny rainbow bubble tip...
There is this fluid filled sac that’s on top of my urchin. It’s not something that it picked up, it’s attached to its body. I took it out of the water. For a few seconds to inspect it and the sac deflated. I put it back into the water and it inflated again. What is this thing?
Will my urchin nock over my torch coral or disturb it and I’m getting a plate coral for the sand bed will it be okay with the urchin or will it walk over it and kill it?
California Los Angeles local pickup only
$30
I have a urchin that needs a home, rainbow frogspawn that I failed to bring out the color (when I bought it it was more colorful), and I can frag some of my cispitularia as well. Images attached
i bought a urchin for my algae problem and its been working well but my clowns have started spawning and wanted to know weather i should separate them for now and the clowns laid on rocks so I cant move the eggs either
I have a small long spine ur him that came on some live rock from the gulf. It’s going to get too large for my tank and I already have a tuxedo urchin. I’m looking for someone yo give him a good home. If you want yo trade for a frag or something that would be cool.
I’m in NJ zip is 08551
So I have finally gotten frustrated with my urchin. It first ate on one of my new coral I got and ate some of it off and then recently I got a new mushroom and over night it choice to eat it off the plug and was sitting on top of another mushroom thankfully this one can curler up into the hole...
Hey all!
I have a 10+ year old 24 gallon tank at home that is self-sustaining, but has tons of Coralline algae in it. I know some people like it, but I don’t. Can anyone give any tips on what clean up crew to add to attack this? I was thinking a zebra urchin and some trochus snails.
My pincushion urchin has been showing signs of stress for about a week. I did a water change and I think I messed up the salinity and made it too low. He spawned and then stopped moving around the tank. His little grippers and spines would move, he would react when touched, he just would not...
So I have a pincushion urchin who usually is very active. I did a water change a couple days ago and he spawned and now hasn’t moved from his spot for about 2 days. I know he isn’t dead cause his spines are moving and he’s holding onto a shell. He hasn’t dropped any spines either. I just find it...
My sea urchin has been hiding for about a week and looks stressed. I am desperately hoping that he’s not dying, but he doesn’t seem to be improving.
Any suggestions on what I can do to save him? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello, my Fluval Evo 13.5 has been setup since October and has had a lot of algae up until late February. I started out with 3 trochus snails and 3 electric blue legged hermit crabs (I think one or two of these are just blue legged). The trochus lasted about 3 months and then randomly died. I...
Just wanted to share and make you smile, it made me smile. I couldn’t help but share! But here’s my tuxedo urchin (his name is spike) and he’s carrying a little piggy around my tank
I even caught him carrying around a toothpick that he found once (I think I had used it to secure something)...
