My long tentacle anemone got caught in a side opening of my AIO tank. I had to split it in order to remove it from the opening. I have come to terms with possibly needing to restart the tank from scratch. There are tentacles and white matter around the tank. I would do it differently now having learned more. However, I still have the anemone in the tank. I removed all the other inhabitants to temporary homes.
A couple questions:
Is it worth waiting to see if the anemone makes it? It was not a very clean separation because of the way it was lodged. I’ve never had an anemone split so I’m not sure what that looks like either.
I had a tuxedo urchin I really liked in that tank. Is he safe to put in my other display tank or will he carry any toxins with him?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
