ÌDoes anyone happen to recall the dimensions for a 65 gallon SHOW tank?

Hopefully someone remembers back when there was a separate aquarium type that were called “show” tanks. These tanks were generally wider and deeper than standard versions and the stated size did not always match the calculated volume. For instances my first salt water system was a 65 show, which if my memory serves was approximately 36” l x 24” w x 21” d. (Obviously larger than 65 gallons.) I am estimating the dimension based on the size of the stand, which amazingly is still around.

Does anyone remember the actual dimensions?

Edited: The 3ft Versions showed up in the early 2000’s, I had one of those…they had the exact same footprint as a 40 breeder as I had a stand with both …Looking for pics, but I’ve posted …those were either Aqueon or Marinelands
(I’ve posted pics here I think) 36 x 18 x 24 (can’t recall exact height, volume calculator has it at 22”)

The 36” l x 24” w x 21” d. is what I have and it’s not a Show Tank. It’s a DSA, Aqueon makes this same size and offers it as their smallest tank with an internal Overflow. I believe that Show Aquarium was 48” and 18” or less front to back. Not a good tank for Saltwater IMO.

Going way back the original Oceanic had show tanks. The 55+ which was taller than a standard 55, more like 60 gallons. The 65 Oceanic was 25" tall versus 24" plus did not have the center brace. I have attached my old Oceanic 58 show, and I don't even remember the dimensions of it. Its heck to get old

The suggestion of Oceanic brand may be spot on. It sounds familiar and I think I remember the branding stuck to the tank when I bought it….. but I am definitely not 100% sure on that. It was a LONG time ago

I am certain there was no bracing on the 65 show and it did not have built in overflow(s). Size wise, I had a 55 long and a 75 long set up a few feet away from the 65, which were both 48” long. The 65 show was shorter , wider and taller than both of those tanks. In fact the 65 show was at least double the width of the 55.

This was my first saltwater tank, which ended up being FWLR plus giant carpet anemones and feather dusters.

I got in contact with someone who had a 65 Gallon Show Freshwater. 48” x 12“ x 26” He broke the Tank, on a move, kept the stand for awhile, but that dimension was no longer made.
