Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
So I have lost a lot of my corals to the brown jelly disease and it'd my fault for not asking about them sooner. I am still waiting on meds to arrive and will treat whatever is still alive when it gets here. Should I automatically treat any new corals I get in the future to keep this from happening again?

No not necessary but I would wait a little while to make sure your tank is disease free.

Ok it will be a while before I can afford to replace what I have lost so no issue there.

I wish I had asked about them sooner I just thought they were unhappy with the flow and algea that was growing on a few of them. Yet another very painful and expensive lesson to learn. :crying-face:

Unfortunately that is how we learn and improve in this hobby. I had bjd wipe out my torches, frogspawn and hammers. Now I have a box with all the ingredients for a KFC dip. When I first started, not a lot of information and a lot of bad advice from lfs’s , I had 16 years of trial and error.

So sorry Amanda.
We're all here for you!
When you start again let us know so we all can prevent things like this happening to you again!

A lot of people do.

I will for sure ask faster anytime I notice any changes in the future.

What are some medicines you guys keep on hand? I have a ton of stuff for my freshie tanks but haven't put one together yet for my salties.
I always have my coral dip on hand and Lugol’s iodine. But since the bjd I have everything for the KFC dip.

I have coral rx and will have all the stiff for the KFC dip when it gets here.

Leftover Pork Fundido for dinner. Getting ready to head out for some Guy's Pickleball with my son and group from church. Y'all behave while I'm gone! Or better yet, act like I'm here...?
