Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I am going to test alk, mag, and cal to make sure it is good for the anemones.
Do they consume a lot of that?

Also will doing weakly water changes with the Red Sea salt help replenish alk, mag, cal? I don’t want to dose anything.
Yes.
Mostly light, stability, temperature.
Don't like swings up and down in any direction.
Yeah?

Yes my friend very busy.
One please a few thank yous from the girls.
They're always nice to me. :)
How was your day and what happened around here?
First of all let me tell you please and thank you! Nothing going on. No one wants to hang out here when you’re working.

That's good to know will stop working then!

They do not consume Alk, Cal, or Mag. They consume Nitrates, photosynthesis, and possibly some Phosphates. As mentioned, no calcified skeleton means very few minerals are consumed, just the nutrients typically.

Good here did you get a new fish?
No not yet thanks for asking. :)
I'm nervous to my guys have been going strong for a long long time with no additions. I'm going to put him in with my female clown.
Nothing lasts very long with her including but not limited to fingers, knuckles and other living things.
Last week she attacked a large snail.

The puffer will stand it's ground if needed

@Reef Devils I do not know about all anemones but I have an LTA and feed Amy little bits of food a couple of times a month.
She also gets food floating around.

They are just prettier gsp. No worries!

When making RODI water is there a lot of waste water?
Depends on the RODI setup. Some are setup as 0 waste which will have a more concentrated brine (not really 0). They'll typically be a 3 gallon RODI to 1 gallon of waste or something like that. Less efficient ones are probably closer to 1:1. My old under-sink RO was 2:1.

That seems like a lot of waste water but I guess it's just the initial fill up that will be bad.
Great information given and more should know this stuff.
I have an aquatic life ro buddie.
I love it, it's easy and works well but very wasteful.
During the summer I use waste water to water the garden.
