Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Peps worked wonders, fast but the long nose took them out in a matter of weeks.
Peps would just make a snack for my trigger and I'm afraid he'd find the nudis too.

I saw a 1"-1.5" Berghia on my glass early this morning. Didn't even realize I had any left.

That means they are desperate and out of food.

No, but if they're not eating or have a sunken stomach avoid them. Also, Butterflies are still sometimes caught using the cyanide method and I've got two friends that recently had perfectly healthy, eating Butterflies die after 3 months overnight with no signs or symptoms.
Sad they still do this Tim. :crying-face:
Petco had a nice Mertens butterfly I wanted to try but no one I've ever been close with has ever had them live very long.

Berghia are nocturnal, you won’t see them in the day unless they are out of food. They should do their work while your long nose is sleeping. Worth a try Joel?

I'm leaning that way Kev.
Seems the least invasive and adding another fish just seems stressful.

The homemade kalk paste seems to be working I just have to figure out how to use it properly without making a mess.
Just get syringes with needles, load it up, turn off flow and inject. Sometimes one of those bent needles work for aiptasia facing downwards.

The only thing that would be worrying is that berghia eggs hatch within 2 weeks of fertilization

Thanks Walker!
I have both the needles from my aiptasia X kit. They work well.
Coating them correctly is the goal.
Plus the trigger follows me around, chews up the rocks with the paste, spits it everywhere and just moves on.
It's like having a puppy.
What a mess!
The guys hilarious!
He's got big teeth so I'm always pulling away making a bigger mess.
I'll get it.
The whole thing is like an episode of the 3 stooges.
