Little better....
Can't keep up with the coralline at all.
I hope you are enjoying your day off! Since you don’t have much algae get a Tuxedo urchin, it will gladly munch on your coralline for you.

For me they are great parameters, I maintain what I said the first time, the problem will be flow, or in some other case a parameter that you need an ICP to know.

ok. thats why i have them moved down. dont know what else to try. im kinda grasping at straws. what ere your thoughts kevin? i think you said that you rescued a torch .
oh and walker, hows the phyto going?

Hi Jill!

I successfully did a culture, but I haven't started another one because of how busy I am. I may start another culture soon. I hope at least to get you guys some bottles but I don't know if I'll get to the point that I can sell it.

Have you ever seen a trigger trying to eat an urchin?

have now. couldnt resist searching for it on the you tubes.

Years ago I had one of those long spined urchin things of some kind.
It was cool watching it, hazardous to be around and it ate all of my coralline until one day my Niger got a hold of it.
It tore that thing up, spines everywhere.
I had to pull a couple out of him but otherwise he was unharmed.
To this day I don't know how he did it.

Well Jill, I see no problems with your parameters. I’m assuming the rest of your corals are doing well so probably not a contaminant issue. That leaves three things I can think of. First par , you want moderate and 150 is solid but I’ve seen many do well as low as 100 and as high as 200. Second, flow you want moderate random flow so they are gently waving back and forth and not in just one direction. Pests, you may want to take one out and dip it in a coral dip and make sure nothing comes off. You could also try dip them in Lugols iodine to help them heal and prevent a secondary infection. I would still like a picture to help me. Yes, I was able to bring another reefers torch back from deaths door by following the above. Just keep me updated and I’ll continue to try and address things as they change. Pictures please.

Don’t you love to come home to little surprises in your tank? Hey Jill and Tim, I almost bagged a 6-8 point ( thats 3-4 point Tim) on my drive home. Thank god I went with the upgraded package on my car that included brakes. I’ve had many near misses in the past 6-8 months but this was the closest call.

We've hit one small buck with a truck in my lifetime - opening morning of the archery hunt, I didn't have a tag or my bow. My buddy was driving and I said "Ok, right in here is where we start watching for deer. They're up and moving.". He says, "Like that deer?" And slams on his brakes. Deer goes skidding across the road, stands up, shakes his head and glares at us, and runs a mile up the road before turning to give us another glare before walking away.

I've had a few near misses on some Bull Elk at night though - those are scary!

it just seems like its existing. not thriving. the flesh bands are slowly shrinking. cant decide if its me or not but they dont seem as colorful as they used to
I agree with Kevin. Can you show us a video of your flow? All of your numbers look good. I don't see your nitrate level bothering euphyllia.

Geez, a bull elk would be like hitting a horse! I had one incident with a deer. It ran into the front driver’s side quarter panel. The profile of his head bounced off the windshield and he rolled down the side of the car leaving crap and fur. Major damage. I stopped the car and it ran off.

Yeah, the one we hit was first light so he was covered in dew still. Deer sweat and snot streaked down the side of the truck, a small dent in the front bumper, no other damage. Could have been a worse. Luckily the truck was tall enough and the deer didn't jump so he went along the side instead of through the windshield.
