I want a screen mesh lid for my tank. The egg crate seems to block a lot of light but I need to find one that works with traditional rimmed tanks and has options for cord cutouts. I don't win enough stuff to bank on winning gift card :grinning-face-with-sweat:

Yeah, I've considered that as well. We had plenty of egg crate laying around so I just cut the lid and printed some brackets for the lid to sit on (rimless tank) so they'd be recessed.

I think I'm going to try to order a screen mesh lid from LiveAquaria if I win another gift card anytime soon and if they get them back in stock. Also I'll likely grab a finer filter sock to help with the fine particulates.

I made two for each side of the 300. I ordered the mesh on line. Got 1/2 pvc, made a frame and zip tied the mesh to the frame....
Ok ok Yeah I like zip ties....very useful ....

Need advice, I have pineapple sponges in my sump. I decided to leave them be. But they exploded in population and I found a few in the overflow so I know they should be in the DT , But have not found any. My plan is pull my sump this weekend and clean it. what would you do.

I lost touch with baseball in my younger years, Was more into Girls, cars and alcohol , sometimes in that order
