Is there a difference between BRS and Home Depot’s black PVC

I would think it's the same. PVC is PVC I think.

I'm no expert but I have used lowes pvc in freshwater aquariums for years.

I found fair to you a bit of my background so you know to who you speak with. I am french, 39 yo, married and have a little princess nearly 4. Anyway thank you all to spend time to answer when us novices we have doubt or lack of knowledge. Objective of the tank, a selfishness to bring a part of ocean to me as I love diving/snorkelling and also bring my little one to enjoy the same with her daddy.

We are all here for you every day.
That's the purpose of this whole thread. :)

I think the black pipe at Lowe's and Home Depot is ABS, not PVC. Similar but different. Both should be safe for aquarium use.

I just noticed that you have Hospitality and Excellence awards. I wish I had an Excellence award but I'm just sorta kinda most decent most of the time.
