It all works out in the end! He absolutely LOVES my fish tank. So much so that she sees me buying corals and fish as buying stuff for the baby :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: hes only 14 months and if you ask him where Benny is he'll look for him and point. First thing everyday when he gets up/gets home he goes and looks at the tank!

@Calmwaters @WalkerLovesTheOcean Amanda and Walker, that is the worst. Sometimes this hobby hurts us. I'm sorry that was what happened to you my friends. I know that you two, in particular, work really hard to keep your critters happy. We all get it, we all feel it when it happens to our Smorgasbord family.

Thanks, John! When I got them flesh was peeling off, and by the next morning it was almost complete white skeleton. I didn't have much hope for them. But, the vendor was really good and sent me 4 new corals!

Also I need words from everybody here. Something very weird is going on. Water is evaporating at a way quicker rate than before.. either it's my skimmer or it's leaking, I have checked everywhere and 0 water. Ideas?

Personally don't think the tidal is very good.

They get good reviews.
I've had a couple.
Seemed just fine.
But like you said, no sump,gotta go with what you got.
I figure if you can run a saltwater tank on a power filter you're a great reefer Camden.
Your tank is coming around.
Right now I'm running my 20 on just a power filter with no media, using it just for flow only.

Not likely.
A good running skimmer will add to evaporation.

This tank has been going on no filtration, just a HOB for flow for months.
I've done nothing but feed and add top off water.
It has a lid and still evaporates 1/2 gallon a day.
