I’m my jurisdiction flex pipe will not meet code and every tankless unit I’ve installed has very specific specifications for venting considering the total length/height of the run might be something to look into also

I thought this was the case at time of install because the instructions strictly said something about a double layer solid pipe and I remember pointing this out and seeing the ceiling pipe had a brand and model and it did meet the requirement, but the guy installing said we could tie into it with the flex pipe

The install was a nightmare and the guy had to come back a few days later to fix leaks on the plumbing for the home water filter / water softener he installed. I was just happy for it to be over with

Yeah your dealing with a lot of heat on them units I would definitely suggest finding a licensed professional to check it out to be sure house fire and CO2 poisoning comes with a even heftier price tag

Yeah your dealing with a lot of heat on them units I would definitely suggest finding a licensed professional to check it out to be sure house fire and CO2 poisoning comes with a even heftier price tag

I do have carbon monoxide and natural gas leak detectors installed within 4’ of the heater

Everything. From ceiling upwards was new construction and passed inspection with 3d party home inspector. We had a normal water heater

I upgraded to the tankless. Everything from ceiling down was new

Well unless there’s another page in that manual looks like that water heater from everything you have shown requires a horizontal wall termination
