so I was thinking to sift my sand to remove some large shell pieces that I have been accumulating. any ideas on what mesh and easy solution?

Any long aquarium tongs that don't move the sand too much. I think that if you use a net you're going to stir up a lot and that's not good.

no, its too small. fish net is too fine, scoops sand. the crabs stir the sand enough that I don't think this will churn it more than them. I think like 1/8" particles.

Guys we lost another fur baby today. Her name was Dixie and she was 16 years old. She was a great hunting dog but for the last 3 or 4 years she's just been a beloved pet. She was the sweetest thing and wagged her entire body when she seen you.

Been there more than once, it's hard and never gets easier.

It’s these small black broken shells. Horrible blue light pic but they are probably 1/16”-3/16”.
Just takes away the pristine look.

$1 tea strainer, poke a few holes in it here and there, that lets the sand through, catches the bigger pieces.
Take a small nail, just make a few slightly bigger holes.
Dollar store/hardware store has little ones with handles.

Thanks. I have a hops strainer now that you mention that. I’ll look tomorrow and see what size pores it has. Great idea.
