Thanks buddy! I really want to succeed with them this time, so Im trying to learn everything I can about them from you guys/gals that have had success
That glitter though...wow!!

So speaking of the supplemental light for the magnifica anemone. Its a hygger 36w. I must say I am TRULY impressed with this light. I have it about 4 inches off the water surface above the anemone which is literally at the water surface and it produces about 700 PAR to the nem. I also have two on my rock grow out tub that has grown that baseball size piece of macro I brought back from the Dominican to over a volleyball size since March.
Yes, it crawled up there about a week after it arrived. I bought the hygger and it hasn't moved since.

That is so cool! It forces the clowns to swim up in that high spot, and give you another focal point in the tank. Is that in your frag tank with all your torches?

Yes sir

What's up Lin???
Not to much, tank is in autopilot so starting another one. Try popping in here once in a while but can't keep up with comings and goings. How have you been?

Busy. Tanks doing decent, just finished fighting Cyano and now I'm fighting the GHA after battle. 😂 Started a new 8 though. Trying to get that one stocked.

What is the stocking list for an 8? Feel like I would be telling my wife no for every suggestion she made with an 8... "Sailfin Tang", me "No".

Well, I got a Pistol Shrimp YWG pair, then added a Molly Miller (he ended up in the 70 yesterday), and now added a Hector's Goby. Gonna go for a Neon Blue Cleaner Goby and maybe a Springer's Damsel eventually. Probably going to add a Clown Goby.

that is actually a cool mix, just got a springer damsel and starry blenny and that damsel just glows and is beautiful.

I had 2. Lost one a few months ago. Never found him so I assume he became food for the CUC.

Did the other one take it out or were they actually friendly to each other?

They were friendly to each other. I assume one of the Chromis may have gone rogue or it just died of old age. I'd had that one for a couple of years and multiple tank moves. He lived in this tank for over a year.

I really like chromis and damsels but the wife out ranks me on fish selection. She did let me try those chromis last year but they came in with urenoma.

On my new build I am going to run two metal halide flanked by two Orphek blue plus and two orphek day reef crest. The bars will be for ramp up and down, then turn way down while the halides are on for 5 hours. It is gonna be EPIC!!
I miss halides but not the heat. If we get a wider tank will definitely try the quanta atlas as a MH replacement.

I'm not a fan of Chromis but they were $5 each at an anniversary sale at one of my LFS earlier this year so I bought 3. My wife likes them so they were for her.
