Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
They look healthy, not fully extended Bev, definitely not dying.
That’s good to hear. The top one (smallest) had me worried a little. The others are slowly extending.

I was worried I have cyano and I may but it also acts like dinos. I’ll have to get a microscope I guess. Blankets the rock and substrate, but it doesn’t have the smell like It did so maybe it’s a different type. Doesn’t go away too much with lights out.

Nitrates and phosphates bottomed out?

Mine had an African Pygmy flame back angelfish which I had to run away from fast 😉
Beautiful little terror I wanted so badly 😢
I saw 2 at my petco this Thursday and to just walk away also lol

Last I checked they were 5 nitrate and 0.03 phosphate.
Is that where they usually run Bev or is it lower than normal?

My wife just sent me this to express her opinion of the new light:

I should add that my wife did probably 75% of the work putting up the new light. She crawled around in the stand pulling wires and adapters and helped hold the lights.

To me, this looks more like diatoms than cyano or dinos but it can be very hard to differentiate one from the other. Is it smothering anything in your tank?
