I have a 45 gallon up and running for years already with just a couple gouramis.
Was going to put them in there, maybe...
What do you think?
The gouramis are pretty stupid and timid, mostly interested in each other.

My Gouramis all fought to the death so I went with Angelfish and German Blue Rams instead.

Make sure your water is is around 78 - 80 degrees , water should be around 6.8 to 7.5 ph , also run a UV light , good filtration , personally I wouldn’t keep them with gourami,s . Not sure they can handle the temperature.

There's lots of plants, fluval 406, water is 82 degrees, no UV and ph is on the high side of 7.
I'm more worried about the gouramis picking on the discus.
Tank has always run warm I used to have a pair of breeding angels in there and never turned the heater down.

I would worry two especially if there small .

I've got 4 in my 110 with the 3 Angels and a pile of tetras, Khuli loaches, and some BN Plecos - 2 Snowflake, 4 Lemon Blue Eye, and somewhere between 2 and 5 standard browns. Also some Endlers.

I change lots of water.
Lots.
I just started using RO water exclusively on this tank about a month ago.
Huge difference.
There's something in the water here, something gross, icky-don't know how to put it but it's really helped this tank.
