Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Flake, frozen brine always a favorite.
Little stressed he'll eat.
I will have to pick up some more frozen brine. Do you think maybe some live copepods would work?

Live brine should make him go wild hopefully- hard to resist live.

Yes I am in AZ, but do not know who this vendor is...
Octo Aquatics. I believe he works.out of his home somewhere on the east side of town.

No they just feed flakes is a very small store.
Ok. Thought I’d give it a shot. I asked my LFS for u and they said live brine can sometimes get even sick fish to respond if they’re going to. Just wanted you to have the information

Maybe I can order one of those little kits and hatch my own...

I don't have anywhere local to get live.
Frozen should work just fine.
Can put garlic/selcon on it before thaw.
He'll eat that
My LFS doesn't have live brine either.

I know nothing about this so please continue to detail. Are u saying that test is from the fuge area and it’s pulling that much nitrate?
That is from the tank.
Over period of 6 months with algae scrubber nitrate would rise 4 points each week WITH water change.
Without changing water for 2 weeks it only went up 2 points, meaning the fuge is pulling more than the scrubber ever did.
Make sense?
Once the cheato starts to float, meaning once it starts producing oxygen, nitrates should come down more.

Not ignoring everyone but it’s a chemo day and my son is coming to visit so won’t be on other then to do my daily TSA giveaways checkin cause Mr brown does not let up on posting giveaway entries- muhaha

Agreed! Follow directions regarding skimmer/UV, etc. as well.
I think I might turn skimmer off this time.
I know that @tbrown knows what he is talking about he’s a smart guy that I can trust but I really think I should turn skimmer off. I talked with people from my LFs and they said it would work better if I turned it off.
If I turn it off things should be fine right?

I would just follow the directions, I used it once for bryopsis, worked great, and I just followed the directions on the bottle . It was 2 years ago.

Yes! It won’t hurt anything to turn it off and since ur dad is monitoring, might be much easier to manage
