Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I really want another tang, but I also want some anthias, and I also want some more tangs. So.... I need a bigger tank haha. That wont be for many years though. Them are some big spoons 😅 and idk what spars are haha
What size is your tank Mike?

mast, yard, boom.

they've had a bad rep for spontaneous combustion. the supplies that come with it...sure, but I wouldn't trust the tank itself no matter the size. I think it's hit or miss. the new tanks are really pretty and 2 years ago I almost bought one until I read many posts. mostly G2. I opted for a IM and really happy with it.

You could do a tomini and/or yellow tang.
I have a tomini, I would love a yellow, and I just might eventually. Momma thinks the price is rediculous for a fish though haha. So I taught Oliver to say yellow tang, and I think its slowly working on her 🤣 if i do a yellow it'll probably be my last fish though. My tanks stocked fairly heavy

Google/search for red sea seam failures. Im not sure which ones are the problem ones, but they are notorious for them.
Seems like it's always the bigger tanks that have that issue. If I ever bought a research setup the stand would get pitched in the trash.

I hate auto correction.

it is a G2 <--- is that the problem 1 ? i have 2 IM's going now but seems like a sweet deal 🤔

you do you, but I wouldn't personally. the supplies yes, but not the tank. QT, sure. it's been etched in my brain the clean up off the floor.

edit. sorry, G1 had seam failures, G2's were better but still pop up.

I feel like your right. I think i saw red sea offer a fix that was a brace for the center of the stand. I think it was for the 4'+ tanks because there wasnt a center brace. I think the stand was the actual problem

I believe so too. Some of their stands were designed in a way that the front glass floated out over the front of the stand.
