not going to be a good morning here. down to 5 degrees outside. hooked up 2 electric heaters and the gas fireplace is going.
cleaned furnace sump, cleaned drainage lines. filter is clear. runs for a bit then just stops. have to take kids to doctor first thing then I guess its call HVAC.
these things always happen when its inconvenient and freezing!

That's a big bummer. Sorry. Could be a bad limit switch. Hopefully it's nothing too expensive.

Last year when we moved in here the furnace control board died on Christmas eve and 2 weeks later the blower motor died.

Last year when we moved in here the furnace control board died on Christmas eve and 2 weeks later the blower motor died.

If anyone would know about blower motors it would be you because you're such a blow hard!

PSA: It is with great comfort that I let you all know that John @kingranch2003 does not appear in either of his son's, Big John, first two videos. I also found it rather interesting that, in Big John's 2025 recap, he gave shout outs and thank-yous to a number of people, including his mom. However, no mention of his dad. Makes me wonder why that would be. He did discuss and show how one of his teeth "fell out." Hhhhmmmm... Perhaps you need a tutorial on how to beat your kids without leaving any marks, John. I will say that Big John is quite the animated and articulate guy for a 9 year old.
