As That Crusso Kid has vouched for me, I feel I should tell you a little about myself.

I have background in Zoology/Ecology, Masters in Wildlife/coastal ecology and conservation and worked whole life in sector and on islands all around the world. Been involved in aquatics since a young age - keeping many tanks. Only now concentrating on Saltwater.

One admission which will surprise many, and is hard to tell you all. Is the fact that I am in the process of going blind. And I wanted to share this fact with you all as you have all been so welcoming since my joining Reef2reef . It is now my final ambition before I go blind to finally have my reef tank that I have been wanting all my life. And by doing it now when I do finally go blind, it is my hope that this special tank soon to be setup will hopefully have the colours of live rock, soft coral and everything else which will remain in my memory when my sight finally goes. Then hopefully having this final visual memory in my minds eye will help me get over not seeing the beauty of the reef.....

Hey thanks again
to be honest although the tropical islands were great-the best was the Last ones over here in the EU and British Isles. I was on one up in top of Hebrides not a single person on their and I never came across a single person for over a year. It was my last post that I first became aware of the early signs of me losing my sight all of a sudden attempting to climb down a cliff face!... lol
Anyhow cant lookback only go forward and I am lucky to have had such experiences. The hardest part is going from that and being able to be active and go anywhere at anytime to not being able to even go out on my own for a walk.

My last tank is currently delayed and was suppose to be setup just before Christmas. But an unexpected electrical problem with the house has meant a complete rewire. It should be complete by next week so I will be able to proceed with getting it back on track

Now that I would be interested in trying!

You can even start with a frozen salmon steak if you want. Just give it a good coating of olive oil and add your desired seasoning and cook on 350 to 375 for about 12 to 15 minutes, depending on how done you want the middle to be. Then blast on 400 for about the 3 to 5 minutes.
It comes out crispy and juicy.

I do 20 minutes at 425 sometimes it takes a little longer if they are thicker pieces.

The inspiration for your tank is very admirable and positive. You're intentionally making a memory for yourself and others to enjoy. You'll be able to feel their excitement even if you cant completely see it, brother.

After hurricane Katrina hit, when I was in my 20s I worked for The Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks Law Enforcement Poaching/Illegal harvest task force. It was one of the most rewarding and eye opening things I've done in my life. We're lucky to have your experience in the Smorgasbord family

Loving the little guy! How's the radiant looking today?

Doing good! I was a bit afraid last night since he dove into the sand in the shortest area of the sand bed of course (that's the place he had to pick...) but he was out and about this morning when the lights are on and has been eating well.
