Don't feel bad about it bud, were in a similar boat and haven't gone anywhere in 4 years. We have been able to manage to do our grocery shopping outings and once in a while the mall so my wife can shop but I'll be with my son. He's special needs so he has a very hard time in public.

We've had a couple date nights in the last 4 years but we still wouldn't change a thing. He's perfect to us.

He IS perfect and he IS a blessing! That's the bottom line too man. They're worth it and after a while a sacrifice doesn't even feel like one. I appreciate your response to this from one Dad to another.
I have a 4 year old too, and that might be my favorite age.
Soak it up man, it goes so quick.

I had to Google it, but what an awesome place! You had me at meeting you and Rock there. But Rollercoaster capital of the world doesn't sound bad either

I haven't been to CP in probably 40 years so it may have changed a little but even back then it had awesome coasters. Two of them came from, or were at least patterned after, ones that had been at Euclid Beach Park when I was knee high to a frag. I hope the Racing Carousel, or whatever they called it when it moved to CP is still there. It was, I'm pretty sure, unique and the craftsmanship top notch.

Your kids would love it! Took my kids many times when they were young. Heck, when I was in grade school my parents took me, my brother and sister when we were driving from Connecticut to Michigan to visit family. I know you and your family have never seen a large body of water where you can’t see land on the other side, it is literally on Lake Erie. A friend of ours took his family and me and my family in his 67’ Sea Ray, pulled up to the docks and made a day of it. World class Walleye, yellow fin perch and small mouth bass fishing. I don’t think you could catch any of those in the Gulf of America. Temp in the summer is much milder also!
