Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Tell me about yellow angel fish please...I read reef safe with caution but I'm not really sure if they lean more towards the safe side or not safe side. Stopped by the LFS and they also had on beautiful mandarin goby but it is on hold for the customer that ordered it. They had several green chromis and a really pretty yellow and purple fish that I think was a type of dottyback that I have read is mean and a Lawnmower Blenny.
My guess is probably 50/50 like most angles. Pretty fish!

I think these are known as lemon peel angel, I've never owned one because they have a reputation like almost all angels for coral. The most "reef safe with caution" angels are going to be the dwarf flame Angel and the coral Beauty
Oh they had a coral beauty as well i almost forgot that one. I think I will pass though I'm just not willing to risk my corals...

I love flame angels and their personalities so I took the risk lol, and it already enjoys the occasional peck at the leathers. Honestly love angels so much I'd swap the corals it likes for ones it doesn't if I had too

That looks like a Centropyge heraldi (Yellow Pygmy Angel) The more common Lemonpeel has blue around the eye. I tend to not trust any angelfish, including pygmy or cherub angels, around LPS corals as they tend to nip at them. Probably the safest is the Eibli.

My favorite of all the pygmy angels. Flames are very showy but the Eibli has, in my opinion the calmest personality and I think just as pretty in a more subdued way.

The one at Ocean Floor? We were thinking of popping in although I got nothin to swap.
I went down there. Not a lot of stuff. 8 or so vendors with some decent stuff priced good. I didn't have room in my tank so I just browsed.

for those who want to see. last epoxy coat on rudder. I'm really liking the stain color. was a medium red mahogany stain on okoume plywood. it's like brown walnut in shade and cherry in sun.

We decided not to go. Pretty boring drive and I don't really need anything at the moment except a couple of Pithos. One of ours died last night. It was chunky enough it probably just ate itself to death.

I'm thinking I might check the LFSs and see if any of them will order a couple for me as I don't need any other CuC at the moment plus it looks like we will keep cracking 100 for a while, and our UPS driver must live near us because we are always at the end of his run.

Was Octo Aquatics there? I would have liked seeing his stuff in person.

Exactly, I was going to go with a flame, I had one decades ago, but I came across a thread talking about how peaceful and beautiful Eilbi are and I looked into thhem and changed my mind. Matt chimed in stating that he had one and it was his favorite fish. He got a pair shortly after I got mine.
