Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Also, just peeked in on MotY. An hour left, down by 10. Looks like Paul is going to win this one. No complaints from me though, he definitely deserves it! I'm just happy I made it to the finalists and was surprised I got as many votes as I did. Thank you all for your support through this competition!
You absolutely deserve it too. All joking aside man, you are everything that the creators and moderators hope to facilitate on R2R. You have my gratitude and so many others' as well. That support doesn't stop here brother. Keep doing what you do man. I wouldn't have the system I have today without your advice, brother.

So I have this spot on my rock work that I'm trying to decide what kind of coral will grow well there. I can move the rock with the palys over if need be. So give me suggestions on what to put there?
That spot is begging for some beautiful acans! That's exactly what id put there.

Mushrooms would work too

I hope im not the only person that didnt realize tom had a frag tank..... 😢

And of all things, there are plates in it!
I didn't realize it either until he mentioned it or if I did know i had forgotten. I follow everyone's tank builds but rarely get notifications when anything new is posted on them.

Same here. I never get them.

What do you think about mini scoly there? I lost one of the ones I had but the other is still going strong. Something with a lot of color to stand out in the shadows?

I need some of each one of those but especially the purple stylo... purple and teal are my favorite colors!
They are VERY hardy. I almost threw that away as it was completely covered with algae during the bloom a few years back. I cut off everything but the plug and about a half inch of the stems. It is now about five inches in diameter but still on its frag plug. It is also now firmly attached to the rockwork.

That is awesome! I really do love the colors!

I just set it up a couple of weeks ago to hold all the LPS and non-homed SPS frags while the Peppermints make a valiant attempt to tackle the Aiptasia.

Ok I don't feel as bad! Is it tied into your main sysyem? If not, it's obviously very stable, looking at the corals.

Nope just threw a 40 Breeder I had in storage on the 75 gallon stand and threw on whatever I could find that fit the tank. The only thing I bought for it is the Tunze Comline filter in the right rear corner.
