It needs to.soak for AT LEAST 24 hours. I use mountain dew or milk/buttermilk. Then deep fry it in zatarains fish fry or blacken it in a cast iron skillet. That's about the only two ways I like it, but the 24 hour soak is essential. Even then, it's not for everyone.

3 weeks John and the cushy room service is over. They need to fend for themselves. This weekend I’ll be teaching them how to get into trash cans, tear it apart and find food like others do in the wild.

I don't know, I've never seen goldfish in the streams in Ohio.
