Good morning everyone my day started with a trip to the ER been here since 6am. Not sure yet if it's my gall bladder or kidney causing the pain. So worried about Jen so please don't forget to text me.
Have they already told you what it could be? I wish you feel better!

They finally decided I have Diverticulitis and my intestines are very inflamed. They took me out of work until Wednesday and gave me two antibiotics and pain medicine and I have to eat a very bland diet for a week.

I’ve really been thinking of adding a clown trigger to my mixed reef lately I really miss having a clown trigger, is there any advice you could give me if I decide to do so ?
Welcome to the Smorgasbord!
Yes.
Adding a baby one usually is fine for a while, especially if you have another bossy fish, tang/large angel to keep it in line.
I only had a small patch of zoas to start with mine.
He was maybe an inch and I slowly started adding stuff, just no hard corals, those are a snack.
As I'm sure you're aware the clowns have quite a personality and can become extremely aggressive and, honestly can go rouge at any time as an adult.
I'm very hands on with mine.
Besides the French angelfish, triggers are my favorite.
In the beginning I would move the scape around a lot, physically moving him. Seems to help.
Main key. Feed a lot and they'll leave stuff alone. Mostly. ;)
They'll move/eat/chew rocks, snails etc to grind down their teeth.
I don't know what you fed yours but I feed mine eggs, shrimp, scallops, garden worms.
Hope that helps.
Joel

So sorry Amanda, what is going on with the family? I hope if it is one of the two it’s not a kidney stone. Keep us updated. Everyone else stay out of the hospital!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about that, Amanda! That's a no-fun one. Has your GI doc discussed required dietary changes? Get well soon, and hope it's a mild case!

I don't have a GI doctor I didn't know I had it until today. It hurts a lot and I'm nauseous. Hopefully the meds will help soon.

I'm so sorry. It is a painful one. Hopefully during follow-up they give you a good idea of what to do to avoid the diverticuli becoming inflamed. For some, that means avoiding seeds, nuts and other foods that can get stuck in them and start an infection/inflammation. Get well soon!!

Sorry crazy day at the office. Now that the know what it is it can be addressed appropriately. I hope they get feeling better soon ! I’m pretty sure tacos are considered bland food but ask just in case :winking-face: .

The doctor at the ER did go over that with me as well as the nurse. I am to follow up with my regular doctor so I'm sure they will give me more information.

Maybe if I do just plain boiled chicken tacos with no salsa I can get away with it...
