Good morning Joel, enjoy your day off! If I know you you’re going to have your arms elbow deep in your tank soon.
Thank you Kev!
Si senor that's the plan!
Along with laundry.....

Well, I'm thinking of heading home to work from home. I'ma work on the design for my filter floss replacement basket for the new tank while my wife goes to visit her mom in the hospital. They're thinking a lung infection, maybe pneumonia... Not COVID, but they're not sure what it is.

Hope they figure it out and she recovers quickly! It's simply beautiful here today and it was extra hard for me to come back into the building after going to pick up my lunch.

Good morning everyone!

Wore my Dodger hat while running errands yesterday - after 30+ years in the Bay Area feels oddly exciting to proudly wear Dodger Blue around town!!

Used to have the all-white women’s A’s jersey (back when I was a size 2). lol.

Good prayer heading your fams’s way. Glad she’s getting good care

To me it's the size of your heart that matters and I don't think they make one that big. ;)
I was born a die hard Dodger but went Padres when they traded Garvey to SD in 83.
Plus Gwynn was a rookie and he's my all time favorite. Talk about heart. Wow that guy had it.
Went to probably 100 A's games back in the day. Loved them.
A part of me is crying as they move to Vegas.
I don't keep up on things like I used to I'm busier now than when I was 25.
Thought it was supposed to be the opposite. :upside-down-face:

Oakland lost all sports to Vegas!!! Bummed as well on A’s. End of an era for the Bay Area

So I changed 15 gallons today.
Last night I tested nitrate and it was the same as last week which is the first time that has happened in years.
The scrubber is finally on par and that's nice for me. I cleaned the screen and I'm going to run it 24/7 for a week and see what it does
Anyone who has been following this thread knows I struggle with lighting.
Ever since I dropped my T5's into my little tank I've just not been happy so I reordered the same fixture!
Until then I put a regular freshwater fluval sky fixture over it. I like everything white.
Just me. I know this fixture will grow algae but I'm OK with that. I've used it in the past and the white spectrum is quality and grows green not brown.

I've also got a new little mushroom growing!

I also have decided to stop running any and all reactors. No more GFO or carbon.
I'm going to dedicate myself to a more natural approach for 2 months and see what happens.
My cheato didn't make it but I blame that on user error more than anything.
Brains aren't my specialty.
I have more on the way and I'll keep y'all informed.
Big tank looks good today.

Joel, Your tank is absolutely beautiful! I love the natural light and how you’ve mixed corals/anemones to look like as if you were snorkeling and discovered a little niche.

Glad you got to get hands in the tank - No better feeling to do all the work on the tank and then sit back and actually see the results instantly.

Pull p a cozy chair and enjoy!

Again, so beautiful. I love the coralline on the bare-bottom, gives it a cozy, fish actually live here feeling.

Was that the mushroom you shared a pic of a couple of weeks ago?

Would base rock be ok cut with the same sawblade used for concrete? I'm trying to get some flat bottom rock from just regular. My neighbor has a concrete business and I was going to pay him to slice it for me.

I just noticed it last night when the big one fed. It's eating a lot now and there it was underneath and to the side!
So cute.
Was wondering if they were going to spread ever.
