Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
12 hours?????
You the man.
Yeah. I think I slept for 5 or 6 and tossed and turned for like 1 or 2 and drank coffee and stuff...

Yeah lots of GHA. All my other corals seem good. Torch is super happy and my 3 bird nest corals are doing great.
Parker, I think you have to take more GHA out manually. At least make it so short, so it looks like you mowed the lawn. That will help the Flux work better. How many inches per day on roller mat?

I agree. How easily does it come free from the rocks? You may get be able to take a rock out, toothbrush it (I recommend using your least favorite sister's and not your own), and inse with tank water (outside the tank, not in the tank), do a quick dip in hydrogen peroxide, let I sit for 30 seconds or a minute, then rinse in tank water again and put it back in the tank.

If it comes free easily, if you have a sump with filter socks you can always take a siphon hose, put the "out" end in the sock and siphon it off the rocks like if you were doing a water change, then swap the sock and wash the full one. This is how I kept mine manageable without doing a water change.

10-3 pretty much every night.
Coffee until 7. Used to drink it all day now never past 7 AM.
Sometimes on my days off I sleep till 6.
Been carrying these hours so long I might never sleep past 6 ever. :crying-face:

This is a good plan @Reef Devils.

I finally started getting more sleep I think. Sunday - Friday I average 6 hours, Saturday I usually get about 8 hours of laying in bed.

Is the GHA on sandbed? I’d so, just scoop those out; you’ll get a clump of sand, just lightly shake, but most will come put if clump. Don’t worry about loosing too much sand, you won’t. You can add live sand after, which is good to do to reseed, biome.

I can’t even imagine how much uglier I would be with that little beauty sleep!

Summer is hard here.
It stays light till 10, light again at 3:30.
Hard to get used to sometimes.
Winter it's dark a lot.

Same here. We've got sunset around 9:30 and sunrise around 4. Then temperatures hit 115-120.

If I actually sleep more than 6 hours my body is so stiff I can't get out of bed.
The doctor gave me a soft sock brace for my knee while I'm sleeping and it helps a tad.

Sleep for 12 hours. Wow. Very jealous.
There wasn't actually 12 hours of sleep. It was more like 10 hours of "not on Reef2Reef" time.
