Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I think that's his Betta tank
Well then what I said wouldn’t have made any sense just like the rest of my suggestions. I am consistent at least!

Why are tangs such bullies? It's always the pretty ones
I mean, they swim around showing everyone their knives all day every day...

@tbrown you ever scape a big cube?
This current tank is the most "planning" I've done in scape for any tank. I made multiple shelves of Aragocrete to make it more open and less "piley" looking.

In playing with the new tank, I think I need some 18" height for 24" depth. I have also decided I like some negative space.
I've really been digging those TSA scapes they've been showcasing in the $10K for 10 reefers giveaway. Lots of "floating" scapes.

TSA has been doing no-lid so they're making them taller than the tank. 24" tall tank, they'd make a 30" tall scape that's 2" or so off the sand bed and sticks out of the tank about 8". I don't necessarily like the out-of-tank portion and would likely stop 3" below the water level.

Me too! I think I'm going to use overhangs vs true caves to get that look.

I'm still going to make one more shelf that'll run across the front middle.

Actually a dream of mine :star-struck: have everyone in the same place, take a trip and see everyone's tanks, eat tacos...
Seriously.
Haven't had a vacation in 6 years.
Me either. Last vacation was 2017, Disney world with my son who was 19 at the time. First time I was able to take him to a Disney place in his whole life. We went big - spent 5 days and got both parks Universal and did Harry Potter World to the max, I got a wheelchair so we didn’t wait in any lines, ever! He would run thru the crowds pushing me and we laughed so hard! It was the best time. (Our fav movie is UP and the picture doesn’t show we were both literally crying when we saw Doug.). And yes, I went crazy hair while I still has some

Since then, I haven’t even gone anywhere for a weekend.

So Joel, that would be the most special of vacations, doing a road trip to everyone’s house, see their tanks while they cooked us their version of the best tacos!

My plan is to print a hanging bracket that's going to hang off the overflow, it'll have a small shelf on the base that I'll coat with Aragocrete and it'll have a small vertical flat part that I'll coat with Aragocrete. It'll run from the pillar on the left as a partial support all the way to the pillar on the right. It'll hide some of the overflow glass and hopefully add a little more depth to the look of the tank as well as fill in a little bit more of the empty space.

I mean, they swim around showing everyone their knives all day every day...
Reminds me of West Side Story! That’s a musical for you youngsters.
