I think it’s more that I got the Mel to stop being aggressive to new wrasse during feedings and since I’ve been gone it took a couple days before they were back on a twice-day schedule at specific times.

The Mel can be quite impatient and I didn’t want the wrasse to get so nervous he got sick. I have Frankie PTSD.

If anyone wants to comment on my nano tank idea or how they like Dinkins copepods in comparison to other vendors I am listening.

Going back to playing Shop Titans on the iPad- LOL.

Just got notification that my Reef Cleaners order should be delivered today! So I will have lots of new corals and lots of cleaners today!

After losing my dream fish, Frankie, to what we believe was a sting from a nem (along with his delicate newbie in the tank status); I’ve decided to move the nems and clowns to a nano tank.

The bonded-pair clowns (Loki & Sylvie), have basically stayed in the back corner of my tank for 5 months. They come out during feedings. They have shown no interest in nesting in the gorgeous nems 4 inches away from their lil corner, nor in any other fluffy coral in the tank.

I really don’t get to enjoy their silly clown stuff or watch them up,close.

Also, my nems are continuing to split and take up a LOT of real estate.

I’m thinking of getting the HelloReef kit. It’s a 15 gal AOI. It has everything I need, and all equipment is super high quality. Plus, I can just transfer some rubble rock and water from existing tank.

It does go on sale I see at different vendors so hopefully will before I go on TSA trip.

My goal is to have them moved by the time the corals I choose at TSA arrive here.

Thoughts on moving some water/rubble and maybe a handful of sand to the nano for biome?

I think the nano tank is a fantastic idea that way you can see the clownfish more and enjoy them.

I would. I'd fill the whole tank from the existing tank. My 70 got about 30 gallons from the 125. I didn't take sand or rock because Aips... I used live sand from Petco and I used MB7 bacteria in a bottle and I used mostly old, dead rock and some new homemade Aragocrete dead rock and, with the MB7 and some live Nitrifying Bacteria LiveAquaria brand my tank had a few corals and the Citron Goby after about a week of waiting? If that...

I have never done this and I was a little skeptical when I first heard but I’ve seen this advice given many many times. To get clowns to be hosted by your anemone, put a screen next to the glass with a video on loop of clowns being hosted by an anemone. Worth a shot?

I Love Dinkins, dark green phyto and tons of pods. Packaged great and they always add a personal touch, including a Christmas card in December.

Oh you’re right. I have plenty of water in total volume - 80 gallons, to give the nano 15 gal. It comes with ocean direct live sand so I can add a bit of mine as well.

The kit comes with the Carib Sea live dry rock, so I would use that for display.

Thanks Tim! I ordered enough from Dinkins for now. But still researching the best vendor overall for copepods and shipping costs. Reef Nutrition has a couple options but, my LFS can’t get the specific species as they have to go thru a third-party vendor.

If they could I would just get thru them since I get all reef nutrition food from them anyway.

These vendors (Aperture) make it so hard for the small LFS!

I did try that as Katrina had mentioned- but my error was doing than the week Frankie came and he was so scared he hid. So I took it down. Actually all the fish were scared.

Check out Reef Legends also. They might be nearby you somewhere? I think they're either Texas or Cali, I just forget which. They've got nice looking Phyto and full Pod bottles. So the flux RX didn’t work at all. Today is the day I should do a water change. Should I really do one though because my nutrients are very low. That might be why the hammer is mad.

Let’s see a full picture of tank. I’m very surprised 2 treatments did nothing.

And send us testing results on. Nitrate, Phosphate, PH. We won’t worry about Alk/Mag/Cal cause they won’t be correct and the water change will start to correct.

Most important is let’s see the tank and those numbers.
