Blue collar for life
Best job I ever had was running the nursery - outdoors everyday rain or shine, with flowers; chainsaw IG 100’s of Christmas tree stumps each year; driving a forklift like a frickin, hand surgeon; heavy lifting - was in greatest shape of my life.

But the salary didn’t work for a single-parent with two kids living in Bay Area. So I went Back to corporate- cried every day for two weeks as I sat under fluorescent lights in a cubicle with nylons and heels.

But ya gotta do what ya gotta do for your family!

So yeah - Go Blue!

ALWAYS family first, but once you're blue you're blue for life ;)

No. Had a lot going on last week. Busy today too. Fingers crossed on the new job. I'll be off every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
3 day weekend! Yes! You deserve that!

I have heard from different sources that they are calling the gen Zers the tool belt generation. More are flocking to the trades than previous generations and rejecting high priced colleges. A good thing.

I thought it was the other way, not many people like to work in the sun or anything that has to do with labor jobs these days

Taco update! Had tacos at my daughter’s house last night. It was from a place that lightly fries the tortillas and meat, then they add the rest - never got soggy even after an hour, and it was juicy carnitas!

You can order them by the dozen too!

Good morning! Sitting here trying to think about getting ready for work. Exciting day or conference classes. We'll see how it goes. Salary has it's perks.

first day?

Nah, yesterday was the first day technically. We had the kick-off Golf Tournament.
I don't know what you do but if you like what you do and for the first day you had a golf tournament, that's a win win for me.

I sit at a desk and tell people to go play in the mud!

I'm a Water Distribution supervisor for one of the local municipalities out here. I make sure water gets to your meter so you can take a shower and flush the toilet.
