So for those who believe in and utilize copepods, I have a question.

I did a fair a,Lunt of reading anf]d video watching along with reading vendors explanations on putting Rotifors in your tank and keeping a healthy population.

I’m still confused - Are they really just meant for breeding fry, and other things? Are they just a food for breeding? And you ideally need a fuge for them?

I didn’t see anywhere that they help like copepods for detritus and such. I have been under the assumption they’re not necessary for me.

thoughts?
Rotifers are a food source only? I'm sure they will help filter the water somewhat, likely eating free floating algaes or phyto? I believe people that add rotifers are feeding fish or corals only, not adding as a benefit to the CUC.

The local guy I buy my stuff from has rotifers in his mix. Pods, brine, phyto, and rotifers.

I think I might have figured out why I keep losing the fish in the QT tank. I must have bumped the thermometer when I was moving it and the tank was 82 degrees. I have adjusted it down to 78 hopefully I won't lose anymore. I have 7 left of the 12 I bought. Hopefully they will refund me for them.

Yes Amanda pretty quiet.
I'm on decompress mode from the weekend but nice to see your bright face! :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:
How was your day?
Super busy but good thanks for asking! How was yours? Yesterday I placed my corals in places along the rocks to see if they like it before I glue them. The pipe organ is for sure much happier and I think the others like where I have them as well. My anemone is still wondering around the tank trying to pick her spot as well.

Sorry guys, took the kids to horse lessons and dropped them off, ran to get a new golf bag, now we're eating at the ranch for dinner. Sammiches.
Sounds great Tim!
It's thunder and lightning here.
Quiet day for us.
Got my son back from tennis just before the hail.

Nice!
Always like playing in my tank ;)
I've never glued anything so let me know how it goes.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
