What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?

oh last note...been planning the 6ftx4ftx30 acylic tank to replace the 300 !!!! Not sure if I want two external box overflows or two internal box overflow...Give up tank space to get close to wall or not...I guess 4 feet wide with a 5 inch internal box across the entire back will be ok. gives me 42 inch inside measurement cause of 4 inch box and 1 inch thick front and back sides. (6 inch total loss) not sure ..sharing so you can chime in your thoughts...Ciao

I've always had external.
Gives a lot more room IMO.

I read that Benipets does not raise phosphate, I’m going to try that next.
I use Benepets as well. And Reef Candy, and Coral Cane

Got my order from Dinkins should I add the entire gallon of the snacklebox to my sump at once?
It should have come with directions, I add the pods directly to my DT after lights out with my wave maker off for a short period to allow them to get into the rock and sand.

It did but it didn't specify if I should add all of the bottles at once. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Up to you. I add one bottle today and one tomorrow when I get two but they starve pretty quickly so if the water is clear I'd add both today.

I will add the three bottles after the lights go out.

Anyone know where I could get something kind of like this that I could hang red sea lights from? The frame of my tank is too wide for the normal mounts.

Is your husband mechanically inclined? He can probably build something like that. @Gtinnel built one for his Noopsyches I believe.

You don't like it when it hangs from the ceiling?

I have really high ceilings that are not flat so hanging them won't work.
It seems that it is difficult to find something wider because now I searched on Google, Amazon, eBay and I can't find anything.

It will, it just take more attention to detail to get them even.

He can build a house from the ground up and he said he could but he wants to brace it off the stand and I don't like the idea of it running down the sides of the tank...
