Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
@tbrown this stew can be made with venison. We had to use beef as it has been warm here and none of the fresh road kill has past the smell test yet.

We don't do a lot of stew, but the occasional Mexican Stroganoff is highly recommended.

I’ve had beef stroganoff, been decades, but haven’t heard of Mexican. Please, tell me more.

Well, it's Beef Stroganoff but with a Mexican twist. The recipe we followed called for sour cream and chili sauce. I'm trying to remember. Most of the recipes on Google are a little different. We used the Once-A-Month Cookbook recipe.

Pressure washed the parrot mansion today. Now I have a happy Lola.

He’s beautiful! When my kids were little they wanted a bird. I told my wife I was going to get them one. She thought I was bringing home a parakeet. I found a white bellied caique. That little parrot was hysterical.

Google it is then, thanks.

That looks delicious!

I am going to be participating in a live coral auction shortly on Facebook what are the easier corals to look for? I would like to replace the ones that got eaten and last one I watched they had stunning acans but I don't know much about acans.

Depends on what you mean by "easy".

Mushrooms, Zoas, Blastos, Micromussa Lordhowensis, Acans, Favias, Hammers, Montis, Lepto, Leptastrea, Cyphastrea, Stylos (coniella or phora), Pavona, Leathers... All of these are fairly easy. If you want something more "flowery" Alveopora are less finicky than Gonis and less aggressive. More "Stick" like go with Digitatas or Anacropora - not Acropora.

Acans are nice and kept in the lower portion of your tank. Blastos are nice and can be kept in partially shaded areas. Need more specifics for more suggestions.

I like lots of color and movement is a plus as well. I really miss the ones that got eaten as they had movement and some color.

I have a nice shady area and I for sure I want some on the sand I have purchased some zoas that will be shipping with whatever I buy tonight next week.

How was your Saturday everyone?

Got my butt kicked....
I figured since the absence of you on this thread. Go and relax Joel and I think a 40 minute foot massage on each foot from your wife is in order but tell her it was Amanda and Jen’s idea.

Duncan's have movement, hammer and frogspawn have movement.

Alveopora have movement but are usually green.
