Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I agree with keep scraping. I'm actually trying to bring my magnesium up... Bringing it down helps lessen coralline algae but also impacts coral health. Coralline can outcompete other algae for space on the rocks making it harder for other bad algae to grow.
Weird thing is I don't really have any on the rocks that I can see just on the glass.

I have a pin cushion can I have two?
You can have as many as you want, just having more means more potential chaos. :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Low magnesium is probably due to increased coralline growth. The problem caused the solution in a way.

Any algae has a food source. How to slow algal growth or kill the algae - take away it's food source.

Params are as follows:
Ph 8
No3 25
KH 7.7
Phosphate .25
Magnesium 1170
Calcium 490
You are going to want to get your magnesium up. Torches, hammers and frogspawn spawn thrive when it is around 1400. My salt mixes to 1350 so I dose to get it up to 1400. My last test put it at 1410.

Ok my brain is really slow tonight after work all day. What do I take away to slow the coralline?

I have ordered the Kent's Magnesium it will be here between June 13th and 18th. I was going to go by the LFS today during lunch to see if they have it but it was pouring the rain.

It's hard I have to really use some elbow grease to get it off in certain spots. Definitely not dusty.

That’s what I use.

Use a razor blade.
I will have to go to lowes to get some this weekend. I have green scrubbing things like you use on dishes and they make it a little easier. They don't have any chemicals or anything in them I have used them for years on my freshwater tanks.

Hi everyone,

I got stung by some nasty sting nettle so I am taking it easy tonight. I have developed an allergic reaction, but nothing too serious besides a ton of pain. I hope everyone had a great Thursday.
