I moved the hammer from the top of my rockwork to the sand bed just for a bit to see how it reacted. It opened more than it did at the top of the rockwork, so I am thinking too much light? That's great to hear! Is the flow any higher there?

What food do you prefer for your zoas, if I may ask?

Flow is another possibility. I keep hammers in medium flow medium light but some people keep theirs in fairly high flow. Low flow makes them close in my experience.

I had it in higher flow, maybe too much flow.

I broadcast feed a mixture of whatever I throw in at the time: Reef Roids, Reef Candy, Coral Cane, Reef Jerky, Benepets...
