Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I think the first few corals I'm going to add will be: GSP, Kenya trees, and a hammer or torch (torch problably). Also when should I add my next fish?
When was the last time you added a fish?

Also there's something wrong with my toadstool its polyps have been gone for two days. Is it molting? Its also grey but not shrunk.

Never had an Avitar and you can tell how trained I am at hiding my real name on the internet :face-with-hand-over-mouth:. I am going to get ahold of Revtree and change my name to something else hahaha!

You are tripping hahaha. I live in Eastern Washington so we are not getting hit like my son in Seattle.
Excuse my ignorance but what is happening or going to happen over there?

Thank you. I will be sure to turn my skimmer on and do a water change after the rock scrub to get all the flua out. Is 8 gallons somewhat good for a water change?
You can do as large or small as you want. It's about are you supplying what corals need and removing what is not.

Next time I'm at my LFS I'm gonna buy as many trochus, turbos or tux urchin as possible.
Trochus are expensive. Get 3 and let them breed. Turbos I'd say maybe 4 or 5 max for now. 1 urchin, maybe 2. If you go 2, I'd probably do a Longspine and a Tux or Pincushion.

They are experiencing a bomb cyclone, 80-90 mph winds and tons of rain. I understand why you didn’t know, Miami never gets high winds or rain.

Im gonna go with a tux... problably one urchin I am virtually out of money, plus my lfs has a crappy distributor so they get nothing but top crowns. I would order online but shipping destroys me.

I need to replace my powerhead on the right or honestly possibly both. I wanna do a controllable one like a Jebao. Anyone got experience with those?

Do you have a Petco nearby?

Not me. I use Amazon Special.

Likely shedding. Takes a day or two.
