That’s great your wife is into it. My tank has been up over 3 years in the most used room and I don’t know if my wife even knows we have a tank. Zero interest and zero questions.

Lol, I guess that's a good thing? You get to add new fish and new coral with no judgements from anyone!

You're right hahaha, I can't fool my wife like that anymore, she knows if there's a new fish or a coral, even if it's small.

My reply to when my husband says where did that fish come from is always what fish? That one has been in there a long time you just haven't noticed it before....

My wife walks by and asks "Is that the expensive one?" And walks away...

Little does she know they are all the expensive ones...
Nah, she knows how much I spent on all of them. Or at least she did when I bought them. She just blocked most of them out of her memory.

I was reading @JoJosReef macroalgae in his nano thread, and he mentioned something about dinos not growing on his TBS sand and I realized that any algae growth (besides bubble algae) in my tank, has only been on my glass. I have had very little if any algae growth on my rock and sand, which really shows the power of bacteria. My thought is that bacteria will take up space on the rock and sand and prevent algae growth on the rock. I think in my new tank, I will dose bacteria regularly in the beginning to make sure beneficial bacteria are all over my rock, to hopefully prevent any algae from growing. I don't know, I guess I will experiment with it
Sounds good Walker!
All I do is experiment every week that's why I love this hobby so much.
