I think my only way of fixing it would be to cut those out and maybe I could use a couple street 90's? The reversed bulkheads throw a huge wrench in the gears though..

Turn the 90s sideways and it will raise the water level some?

Yes, but I glued them in... so i think I have to replace everything

I bought some but haven't done anything yet.

I really over estimated my waterflow and didn't think I could get an overflow premanufactured to keep up and didn't realize till afterwards I could have

I wish someone made a bulkhead with a bigger flange, then I could put them in the traditional way and life would be so much easier

I've used them on either side. I think in my current tank they're on the outside - nut side.

@Nor'easter reefer my IM stock mesh lid had openings large enough for my fairy wrasse to launch through it. Found him on the floor in the AM. Since then I made my own screen lid with smaller holes so the wrasses can't get through. The new tank is using a fully polycarbonate lid--I'm just hoping they don't break their faces on it...

Now that you mention that, deer netting would probably work good too. And being black would probably not stand out as much as the white.

If i made an external overflow box I could theoretically stick my pipes into the bottom on it, keep my bulkheads oriented the way they are, I'd still have a internal wier made of glass but the 90's inside of it could be relocated into the external box.. sandwhiching the gaskets between the tank and box

That can catch detritus.

Acrylic isn't difficult. Use Weld-On 16 if it's your first attempt. Leak testing is important if it's going to be the overflow.

And cast acrylic correct? I'm currently trying to determine dimensions and then gotta figure out thickness. Once glued properly it's really strong isn't it? Would it be worth trying to heat and bend corners or just glue them?
