Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Yes I go there quite frequently but I rarely know any of the answers either Luis.
Most of them are about complicated equipment I'll never have or stuff I've never heard of.
I'm with you here.
I went and tried to answer one. Very shortly afterwards people come in and prove me wrong and now I look like an idiot because I don't follow the ongoing fringe scientific studies :face-with-rolling-eyes:

I almost always disagree with the "new" scientific ways of running tanks. As does Joel.

You don't look like an idiot, you tried to help with your knowledge, it happened to me many times lol, even people sat on me instead of the OP to prove me wrong, but if that increases their ego, I let it go, turn the page and that's it, the intention is what counts my friend, I keep going to the unanswered threads, But it's the same thing I said yesterday, too many complicated questions about equipment and so on, the hobby is not as difficult as people are making it out to be lately.

Thought I would share a few pics from snorkeling the western Caribbean. I wish I could find the ones from the eastern Caribbean and Aruba. In Aruba I snorkeled a German frieghter sunk during WWII and a beautiful shallow reef. This sea turtle was from the turtle farm in Grand Cayman.

Guys I went to a breakfast buffet with the wife and the son. Ended up with reef questions. The wife liked these. Any ideas of what they are?

Digitata - One's a Garf, one's a Bubblegum.

The last looks like a bacon sandwich.

Best idea Kev!
I replace them all every 8 months and DI resin yearly.
Just because.

Here I leave the recipe for the Smorgasbord Recipe Book and in case anyone wants to try it ;) super easy
Ingredients
- 5 big malangas
- + or - 10 cloves of garlic
- salt
- 1 egg
- Accepts more seasoning if desired

Preparation
Grate the malangas and after grating them, mix them with the egg, garlic and salt.

Cook
Put a frying pan with plenty of oil on medium heat, when it is hot take a mold (mine was a spoon lol) and cook it until it turns golden or to taste
