Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
That's pretty!
Back bay Biloxi, a brackish water bay formed by at the intersection of 3 river delta and the Gulf of Mexico, or whatever they're calling it these days. Great fishing and crabbing!

I know. They talked about this on the Joe Rogan podcast when he had the founder of Black Rifle Coffee on. There's increasing evidence for its value.
Yep I've seen that one too. The science is there. Very interesting stuff.

Okay are you ready….lol
I’ve beat it many times and what causes it along With Cyanobacteria is the ratio of Nitrate to Phosphate. When the equilibrium is off it starts a chain reaction with different bacteria and microorganisms.
First step purchase a quality Nitrate and phosphate test kit and I highly recommend Hanna checker if you don’t already have one.
The first step is the most crucial step.
Also to speed this up you will need to more than likely purchase nitrate and phosphate.
I use and recommend Nyos brand.
Now once you are ready to test, what you are looking to do is keep your nitrates at 10 and phosphate at 0.10.
One to ten , do you understand this, if you don’t I’ll explain it further.
You want to keep these numbers steady permanently.
Step two purchase some poly filter and hang it inside your display. This will need to be rinsed at least twice per day. I use a chip clip to hold it into place on the rim of my aquarium.
The more times per day you can rinse the poly the quicker this will go.
Average is two weeks but I’ve done it in as little as 5 days.
If you have anymore questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

If anyone is looking for a cheap ATO that works well. I ordered this one from Amazon a few months ago and it worked great until my reservoir dried up while I was gone hunting for a week because I forgot to refill it before I left. What surprised me pleasantly was when I contacted the company to see if I could just order the pump they sent me an entire new kit for free even though it was my fault the original pump burnt-out.

Except it means yours failed because it has an automatic shut off that didn't shut off. Mine does the same thing. Great little ATOs for the price though.

Sorry guys and gals, I was up at Pickleball Dark thirty this morning for pickleball with the guys, then home for a shower and we're at the Parada Del Sol now. But I found this...

That is a baby plate that I’ve been growing out until it’s a sellable size. It’s roughly 1” across and is ready to go. Its…pricey…

Coral Collectors Insanity Plate - they charge 800-900 for a 3/4” - 1” baby

I got mama as a 1/2” baby…maybe 3/4” tops. She’s just over 3” now

If anyones interested in the baby…it’s probably worth $900 now if sold directly from Coral Collectors…a ton. I know. I would offer for 50% off what they charge. I know that’s still a lot but it’s worth a lot and any lower and I’m really selling myself short when I could just put it on the market and sell for 500-600. But I hate dealing with market. So if anyone is interested just let me know, $450 and it’s yours.
Did u sell this

Added three more blue green Chromis. The two I added last week swam over instantly and schooled. I'm very happy hopefully it lasts! :thinking-face:

That is great, beautiful tank

Such a beautiful fish!! Love my RG!

Anyways, I turkey basted all of the rock, added filter socks and turned my skimmer to skim wet. This is all temprary for a few hours just to try to remove as many of the dino cells as possible. I'll dose some h2o2 tonight. I also am raising my temp to 82°f, as I heard that may help.

That makes it a complete piece of the ocean with those schooling chromis! Very cool, fingers crossed.
