Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
It may be due to the winter. Heating will dry the air leading to a higher evaporation rate. I'm assuming you are in Virginia
Yep. Also I heat my house with a thermostat. I think at least.

It's what I was recommended. Guessing everyone uses a sump here sadly. I could try to get a sump but no more cabinet space. On.top of this money money
There are plenty of successful reef tanks running HOB filters and/or canister filters. A quick search in the forums will show you a plethora.

Man, I can’t remember the last time we were in the 70’s, early November maybe?

The temp rise sucks. I have to workout in heat now

I have decided I'm going to have a me day and I'm going to go to Asheville and hit up all the aquarium stores. Might even go to the really nice one further away in Hendersonville.

My aunts are from Asheville.

What stores are you referring to?

Pictureessssssssss ;)

Sweet! I'll take one as well Luis! You truly are an ANGEL! See what I did there? :face-with-tears-of-joy:
So I can say that my middle name does suit me lol

Is there a possibility there's water seeping behind the silicon?
Are you noticing any water on the floor? Stand? Side of tank?

Now I'm afraid I'm going to overstock big time here. All my Florida ceriths sort of dissapeared I only see 2-3 every other other day or so. I have one turbo snail, 3 top crowns, and probably around 30 dwarfs? Eaten by my wrasse... Crabs are undoable due to the wrasse. Would adding the creeper, chitons, ox tounges and urchin hurt the tanks bioload?

What size is the tank? Do you have algae issues?

Yep. Also I heat my house with a thermostat. I think at least.
Well, the thermostat is what "senses" the ambient room temperature and will send a signal to turn on the furnace

Good night my friends! This is an awesome coral that doesn’t get any love.

I agree, when I had my 90g, I had GSP on the entire back wall. I'd trim it when it would creep to the side glass and to high on the overflow though. I think it's quite beautiful and love the movement it adds to a tank.

I have just reached the first of 3 Petcos in Asheville between me and the really nice reef store in Hendersonville. It really amazes me and kind of makes me sad to see all the damage that remains still here in my hometown of Asheville where I grew up after Helene hit it.

But today I will not dwell on sadness I need a happy day. I have had too much stress and sad in my life the last few months between losing my mother in law, then my beloved pup and a dear friend of ours to cancer. So today no more sad!!!

Well he did just say he was working lots of hours so he should have money to get us all one... lol
Whatever they are I'll take one too.! ;)
