Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I’ve actually thought of one since I’m never home lol.
Same here. Plus, I'm a little (ALOT) OCD about my tank, so I will know when other hands are in it! By that I mean my wife, she has a tendency to clean the tank when I'm not home. I am NOT complaining, but sometimes she rearranges things and ....well... I have to move them back of course.

@00W @tbrown
Down to 0.33 in 2 days lol, too fast but very happy with the results, Should I close the valve more so that less water passes through or turn off the reactor for a couple days?

How do the corals look? You could slow it down a little bit while the corals adjust.

The lights were still off when I left the house but they looked fine, now I turned the reactor off so when I get home I can adjust it

New to the Smorg, but not R2R.
Do you know what your parameters are by chance?
oh heck no lol. The smorg has gone through this same process multiple times and I honestly never have parameters ready. I do know that p04 and nitrates have been high but I need to test my p04. I have a lot of things to buy such as testers etc. Also welcome to the smorg.

Jeez I have a lot I need
1. Hygger aquaknight (nano build)
2. Hygger controllable duel power head (for main tank)
3. nitrate hanna tester
4. Stand for 15 gallon.

Nope, no way, I'd chance it! It's in the refrigerator, you're good!
I’m immuno compromised, a lot of food restrictions and one of them being not to eat leftovers over 24 hours old. :crying-face:

Guys do you think something like this would hold a 15 gallon? there is no cabinet to the right and I can make it completely flat. Its what I wanna put it on as I already own it.

Heading back home I have several goodies to share when I get there. I didn't get the $250 jelly bean scoly as that is more than i want to pay for one small coral at my current level of experience.

I just read your tank build thread. I didn't realize you were still in high school. I applaud you for getting in the hobby at an early stage in your life. You will gain valuable experience in the years to come.
Do you currently have test kits? If not, I have extra Salifert nitrate and phosphate kits that I use occasionally when I'm too lazy to use my Hanna checkers. I could send you those so you can test regularly.

You are looking at 125 pounds of water alone, that's not including tank, equipment, rock, etc...

Pics or it didn't happen!! :zany-face: Kidding, I know you will share your fish store scores!

Completely understand my friend! I took care of numerous transplant patients when I worked in the ICU. By the way, I'm glad you pulled through and are here to share your humor and wit.... oh.. .and beautiful reef!
