Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
This has gotten me thinking about it as well!
It's a blast and I've only been doing this for two days. I always wanted to raise worms for bait, so this has always been on my to do list. The fish love them and they try to hide in the corals. Lol nothing is cooler than watching a big pinch of worms get sucked in by a wellsophyllia or a sccoly

My anemones did very well despite high nitrates and p04 so no matter what I will be getting one I guess... I really want frogspawn or a hammer but based of the condition of nitrates I most likely won't be able to do any for a while. I love euphyllia
But you don't know what your numbers are Cam. Nitrates are nowhere near the first number you want to consider when adding corals.

Yea I know I know.. the coral is gsp though, and sure rose nem however it's extremely small and healthy

Yeah I agree there. I'm saying you may be ready for euphyllia. Throw the "easy" corals in first and see how they do. Then get your numbers and let all of your euphyllia brothers and sisters guide you.
Gotta have some hammers, torches, and octospawn in your tank my man!

Ugh, so I see white spots all over my carpenters wrasse, some on my tomini tang, foxface and royal gramma. I had a lot of little white particles in the water, so I'm really hoping it's just that. All of my fish are eating great, and active. If this is ich I don't know what I'm going to do.

See how they are doing in the morning. I handled ich in the tank. Although I had a clown kill another I didn’t loose a fish.

thanks. i cant figure out what is going on. i bought an kh guardian because my hanna tester started showing low numbers. like 3.3. but the guardian is showing its at 8.5. i guess ill have to but ANOTHER kit to see who is right!
Use a Salifert or API fo Alkalinity to double check. They're more than accurate enough.

How did you handle it? Feeding heavy with vitamins?
