Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Ugh, so I see white spots all over my carpenters wrasse, some on my tomini tang, foxface and royal gramma. I had a lot of little white particles in the water, so I'm really hoping it's just that. All of my fish are eating great, and active. If this is ich I don't know what I'm going to do.
Hopefully that's not your problem Walker. But if it is, I'm sure we've all been there and can help support you through it.

what do you guys do when just one of your corals is not looking good?
salifert on the way!
Advice from past experiences, do not change the entire tank for a single coral, I think that depending on the coral it may require a different treatment.

Just out of curiosity Tim, do you know why you have that wide range?
Because I am not faithful enough on testing and it slowly drifts up, then I drop the alk dose and it drifts down.

I'm exactly the same Luis I shoot for 9 and it usually falls within this range .
I am not too faithful testing.

thanks guys. idk really know luis. it just seems like its been unhappy in maybe a week at most. thanks tim maybe ill try moving it. do they like more or less flow? i thought it was so interesting the other day i was in for an mri and there was a saltwater tank in the office. they had a huge hammer and barely any flow. i mean stuff was barely moving. made me wonder if maybe some of my things would be happier with less flow

That's excellent advice. Everything has a shelf life. Any individual coral or fish could die at any time. It’s not necessarily indicative of a trend.

its my frogspawn. it just isnt happy anymore. i havent moved it or anything.

It could very well be because it is splitting heads. Do you see a change in the shape of the roundness? Is it pinching at any point? You have growth there. How long has it been going on?
