Hey everyone, it’s Greg from First Due Aquatic Rescue again!
As I’ve recently mentioned, I’m the founder of First Due Aquatic Rescue, LLC—a self-funded, mobile aquarium maintenance and consultation business based in New York. I specialize in both freshwater and saltwater tank services, with a growing focus on coral sales thanks to an amazing local partnership with CapitalCorals.
That partnership gives me a major edge over typical startups:
• No coral housing or shipping stress
• Wholesale access and a dedicated coral rack
• Rotated inventory + content support
It allows me to keep expenses and risk as low as physically possible, which is essential since I’m building this from scratch with no loans, no credit, and a passion to build from ground-up.
That said—I’m still in need of support from the community, especially to fully stock my mobile reef service toolbox as my maintenance clients will soon increase with the partnership.
If you have any extra gear (new or lightly used) that you’d be willing to donate, I’d be
incredibly grateful.
Items I’m looking for:
• Small to medium powerheads or circulation pumps
• Scrapers, coral cutters, or fragging tools
• Frag plugs, glue, suction cups, tweezers
• Battery air pump, spare heaters, small lights
• Test kits (even partially used)
• Airline tubing, check valves, and fittings
• Coral dip or treatment additives
• Basically, anything reef-safe you’re no longer using.
These items will be considered donated to support a small reef business. They’ll go directly into client work—installs, rescues, and maintenance—all with the goal of making reefkeeping easier and more accessible.
I’m here to build something that gives back—and your support helps make that real.
Thanks again for all the encouragement so far—it means the world.
