Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
They are known, on occasion, to nibble on corals.
I'm thinking of putting a couple in my sump, but I'd have to get some kind if guard for the pump intake.

Luis,

One of my favorite parts of this hobby is the people we meet, whether in person or on the forums. I really like seeing people sharing their corals, unused equipment, time and knowledge so freely with others. We all have different resources, experience and talents and to see them openly shared, instead of secreted away like in many hobbies, is heartwarming. I always log off of R2R feeling better than when I logged on.
Very well said Tom.

As far as selling something you've won.
I've never won anything.
But I don't enter much if at all.
I'd never enter a contest for something I didn't need or couldn't use, especially just to sell it.
But that's just me.
I do give a lot of stuff away and pay the shipping too.
I like other people to use stuff again if they can.
I have found nowadays that people do get wierded out with someone giving them something for free.
Why,I don't know, but aquarium stuff, used stuff, should just be given to someone else to use if you don't want it anymore.
I've also found that people really want a ton of dough for their used stuff when, in reality, it's not worth that much.
Go try and buy a used vehicle.
My opinion.
There's a couple here who will go and get all the free stuff offered on Facebook and resell it all.
I find that a little tacky and bogus.

After years of being connected to the big tank, it's now been months on it's own and it's been a huge struggle for me...

I had cyno everywhere.
It was even floating on top.
This tank is basically completely unfiltered.
I've had a HOB running on it with nothing in it, just for flow.
Nitrate tested at 2.6.
Phosphate tested at. 04.
Sounds like good numbers but evidently not too bueno.
The ratio is off somehow so I decided to completely clean it up.
I changed 5 gallons and added water from the big tank instead of new water.
Big tank was at 54.3 for nitrate so we'll see if this helps.
Fish are great, softies are growing like weeds.
I'd did put a tiny nano skimmer, Lil bubble magus internal but I don't really think it does anything but provide aeration.

I've only been to Dallas and Fort Worth. I've always wanted to turkey and javelena hunt
Ya, I’ve been wanting to take my 30/30 down there for a chupacabra hunt. I’ve spoken to a guide who strictly take’s customers on chupacabra hunts and claims he knows all the best chupacabra lands in Texas with the most dense populations of them. Very pricey though, going to be after my daughter’s wedding and my tank upgrade.

Is there an "or best offer" available?
No she’s holding out because she heard people will pay top price for a life saving transplant for their love one.

Could it be that there is very little flow in it?

Could it be that there is very little flow in it?
I've got a powerhead going at 240 gph.
The hob was small but effective for flow.
The anemone won't do high flow.
You're right and I was thinking the same thing Luis but the cyno was thick only in the high flow areas, which I didn't understand. I'm hoping to get nitrate up to at least 10.
It does go to show that the natural denitrification process does work.

We had already seen it coming days ago right, the picture doesn't look good but it's the star

Sorry Luis, I’ve been pulling for both of the starfish.

Sorry Luis, I’ve been pulling for both of the starfish.
With these conversations we've had these days about the average lifespan, I don't think I'll buy another one.

Come down here and we can hunt the rugaroo for free!
