Keith what size would you recommend for a 40 breeder frag tank?

You answered your own question sir. 40 gallon breeder! Honestly depends on what you are going to grow out. Right now I have 20 torches and 10 hammers taking up about 1/3 of the 40 breeder to give you an idea of how much you could have in there.

yeah, I would really need to pull one out and get him under a scope. all the way zoomed in doesn't seem any better. not stomatellas though. that would be a "dissecting microscope". did you ever get to see one of those in school or was that on field trips? (I hope you had at least field trips once in a while). I know some public schools lack science. I had to go to a school and teach high school kids a week long microbiology class.

Lots of microscopes Paul in high school, under grad and post grad but they were probably nothing like the ones used today!

Throwback to 2017. This was my 90 gallon cube I had when I lived in Texas. Dual 250w Radium halides. I loved that halide setup. It would grow anything!

Your cube looked fantastic brother! You know I have a cube bias. Nowe get to watch you build this one.

feather duster worms. coco is white a pink and campfire is typically a deeper pink/purple with yellow.

so what are we thinking? I have limpets everywhere, lots of Money Cowries, Tongan nassarius, fighting conch, tiger conch, 2 turbos, a few trochus, dwarf cerith, at one point some ninjas but they don't seem to last long. they fall off the walls a lot like margaritas. I can't really zoom in any more. they really do look like tiny limpets to me. I'll try and getting a better picture one day. I don't think they are flat worms. they do appear to be shelled.

Maybe they're limpets, just looked like an odd shape.

Coco coir would be a disaster! I imagine one would have to up their filtration after such an event?

they are tiny. like 1-2mm. stomatella though can move around fairly quick. it is a tiny white shell with snail of sorts. I can't remove without damaging. but I do have a lot of them. they seem to like the top of the tank where the light is. I know the limpets I'm finding in the sump and socks so they are getting through the system but have not seen a stomatella adult yet. only have an iPhone and a magnifying glass.

Lol I meant what size reef breeders light. It'll be mostly your typical frags, zoas, montis, palys, mushrooms, euphyllia.
