Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
@tbrown I see that you have some cool monti frags. I love the colors of palawanensis and some of the "less plating" and non branching montis. How do you display yours? Im concerned that if I fix them to my rockwork, they'll overrun everything and just take off. I want to include these in my tank. Any thoughts on that? I have these type frags.

Currently I need to mount two Lithos (that aren't really Lithos), 2 Monti Caps, and 1 Monti encruster. I need to get that encruster soon, it's currently encrusting my ESHOPPS frag rack.

I put everything on the rocks. I have 3 or 4 I need to mount.
I'd love to cover my bare rocks in the middle 3rd of my tank. I've heard some say that these would spread and run over everything I have.

Wes @Imrahilwjz this is the plate you like when it's hungry (1st pic). Every time it looks like that, I blast it with some good meaty food. The 2nd pic is the plate fighting off two nassarius snails for some chopped scallops and clams. Then it eats, stays closed for a bit, answers nature's call, and goes back to looking like something from a J. R.R. Tolkien book!

Because you're cool. I just assumed lol. That man sparked my imagination at 4 or 5 years old. How do you come back from reading Goblin Feet!?

I just read it for the first time after you posted! Wow!!

Jill, 2 tanks is a nice idea. Initially it was for a BTA but what help me is when a coral is not doing good I switch it to the other tank to see how it reacts. For the moment is worked great, they becomes happier everytime. I don't do it for fish as the second tank is too small.

Well it's past midnight in my neck of the woods, which means it's May 9th. Today is the 1 year anniversary of my tank :) Thank you all for the support and for sharing your vast knowledge. Even more than that, thanks for taking me into the fold.

Really? Lol how ironic. It's a great old book. written in 1915, when Tolkien was only 23!
