I'd love to cover my bare rocks in the middle 3rd of my tank. I've heard some say that these would spread and run over everything I have.

Well it's past midnight in my neck of the woods, which means it's May 9th. Today is the 1 year anniversary of my tank :) Thank you all for the support and for sharing your vast knowledge. Even more than that, thanks for taking me into the fold.

Man, loved the placement of all the ghost corals in the first pic! Did you sell them? The third pic doesn't appear to have any ghost corals, I even put on my Ghostbuster Exoplasm glasses!

That's awesome. Some people stay decent when they become famous. Seems like the ones that stay out of the limelight more stay decent.

That's 100% the way they are. The whole band stayed local. Super cool guys. The bassist Todd Harrell, used to book our fishing boat for fishing charters back before Hurricane Katrina. He was really cool and down to earth too. He did end up in prison eventually for DUI'S though

I appreciate that so much! I don't have too much of a secret. I believe in phyto and feeding them indirectly often, and indirectly once or twice a week. Give them a little more flow than you'd normally see. Nothing crazy, but you want to see those polyps moving and reaching. I could be wrong, but I believe if a coral is extending its polyps, it'll build the skeleton to support that and keep up, as it's a feeding reaction that'll sustain it. That's what, in my opinion, gives that fluffy, bright, and expanding look.

I absolutely concur John. I dose phyto, do broadcast feedings and have quite high flow for my euphyllia. I believe it has been said so much that they need low flow that it has become what people believe. The more I observe my euphyllia and monitor reactions, etc... more flow is needed than people realize. I've seen many grow tanks/farms with SPS level flow for euphyllia making their tentacles move rapidly in the flow. I'm not saying putting them in direct flow of a powerhead 4" away, but alternating, indirect flow to keep them "flowing".
