ok @kingranch2003 here are my numbers. sorry it took so long for me to get them for you. i kept forgetting. my acans were so big and happy before and now just look like they are melting away. i did figure out my alk doser tube had come out of the water so it wasnt getting the alk dosed. i dont know if thats what did it or not!

yeah i usually have it at 1.026 but it has crept up. think thats it?

I think it may be a parameter that is affecting you. I like 1.025 to have a margin for correction in case of any problem with the tank.

Last time I measured the big tank it was 1.030.
The little tank was 1.035.
Now they're connected so they're both 1.030.
I like to keep it @1.028.
But I use a swing arm hydrometer so who really knows where it's at.
It doesn't really change all that month so being consistent is key.

What happens is that each salt mixes different parameters and it is logical that if the salinity is higher the parameters will go up but you need to have a salinity that matches the average, and if you need to raise other parameters for that they are different products but my personal recommendation is that you lower the salinity and try to add the different products that exist to raise the values that you need and see how it goes.

I use the same thing, one cup of salt per 2 gallons. You can’t be to far off, as long as it’s consistent.

I don't want to rush you into anything here, Joel, but this is my humble opinion. At the same time I think consistency is key, and if you've been doing this for years, why change something that isn't broken? But in my humble opinion if that salinity test is correct, for me (a nobody) it is too high
