what's in the Dr Pepper? I know hands down Corned beef is best slow cooked specifically with Harp Lager. I've tried many beers and harp specifically is key. the lager with Nitrogen rather than CO2?

I don't know.
Probably all the corn syrup and chemicals helps saturate the meat.
I agree with the corned beef.
I agree with Harp lager too used to love that stuff.
I like to experiment with marinades, different flavors. Stuff like that.
I'm lucky I can get stuff in bulk, not necessarily cheaper but more, larger product so if I do something and it sucks I can toss it.
It's usually fine.
I'll put it on the Sunday menu, see what happens.
Amazing what you can put together then scramble with eggs.
I've also roasted pork in Orange Crush soda too.

these differences are truly what makes foods different and unique and people never realize this. beef is beef but marinated in "what?" can make it monumental.

For sure.
One thing totally important that I do is never tell anyone what I did.
Just say "scramble with pork, onion, potatoes, etc" then they'll eat it.
People eat with their eyes, not the brain.

This transpired today, My buddy called me and wanted to know if i wanted anything from his sons tank. I said I don't know, never seen his tank. Well it seems there was quite a heated argument at his sons house. When we arrived, no one was there. The back door had all the glass busted out. All I seen was the kitchen and what appears to be a den. The kitchen was a wreck, everything that was breakable appeared to be broken. The tank had about 4 to 6 inches of water left in it, with a big hole in the front and the bud light bottle was still in the tank. Fast forward, the corals that were on the aquascape were bone dry. I pulled a bunch of zoas, a duncan head that was still in the water, what appears to be a torch, a hammer, some type of encrusting coral on the lower rocks, and some I had no idea what they were. After a call to his son and he said take it all. it appeared to be a rimmed 75 gallon tank. I said I was taking the livestock to try and save them, He may want to start over, if not then I will get it. Next post is my big question for every one

I popped in walmart and petco on the way home. no way I'm putting these in my tank. i picked up 2 tubs that look strong. I add the frags to two 5 gl. buckets I had with the remain salt mix in my brute. I mixed up a batch of water in my brute and after 1 hour I added the coral to them. Had to mount some to pieces of my Marco rock I had left over, especially the duncan pieces. My major concern is, my tubs are not cycled, I added some microbe-lift tank starter, I do have a a sicce micro pump in each tub for water movement. Can i get by with water changes every other day or do the corals put out ammonia ?

yeah. I've tried Guinness, and so many other brews Sams, Heiny, Corona etc.... but Harp is the only one. and here it gets harder to get. for a while was seasonal but now only 2 stores near me have it ever in stock. slow cook it 10 hours on low. only beer for a slab of corned beef with seasoning that changes the outcome to incredible results. I really think it's lager with nitrogen. I've even basted in malt.

I'm a micro biologist. would love to help you invent new things. what if we marinade in this? you have that big audience. I only have one food recipe I acquire from my grandmother that died with her and am "close" to replicating but it's the cooking temp/duration that I'm unsure of. its a bread...every day is different because of humidity. Winter its dry, summer its humid. I do water in oven. etc... its always is different. dough is same.....cooking is always different. thought I could do a food truck to share this incredible food I grew up with but till I figure out the rest.....?

Ok sounds somewhat traumatic to the soul and definitely nothing I've ever heard of before.
I have no idea how coral respire but I think if you add water from your own tank they might fare Ok for a bit.
As long as there's no terrible smell I assume nothing is dead.
What's the plan with them now?

out of respect for my friend no, also no fish were any were to be found. I don't know or care how the owners are doing but its really sad to see what transpired in that house

The remora is here! Huge skimmer. I've got a maxi 1200 for it so it doesn't over skim the tank and overflow it etc.
